Brian Blum is the founder, president, and chief consultant of Maverick Solutions IT, Inc, a technology consultancy and support provider, working primarily with schools, NFPs, & SO/HOs in the NY metro area.
He earned an MS in Education with a concentration in Instructional Technology from the College of Mount St Vincent, and was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. Brian’s undergraduate degree is a BS in Information Systems, conferred by SUNY Empire State College.
Brian is a Microsoft Certified Learning Consultant (MCLC), Trainer (MCT), IT Professional (MCITP), and Systems Engineer (MCSE). He also holds certification from the Computing Technology Industry Association, (CompTIA,) for A+, Network+, Server+, HTI+, and Convergence+.
He has served on the staff of Microsoft’s Tech-Ed conference since 2007, and has been a subject matter expert for development of various Microsoft and CompTIA certification exams and related training programs. Brian is also a published author, having written two books to prepare students for CompTIA’s A+ certification exams, and has collaborated as a technical editor on several other books for Microsoft Press.
